On Sunday my boyfriend and I visited London, ready to embrace the London Fashion Week vibes wearing my full Footasylum get up. I did a story takeover on Footasylum’s Instagram where I video’d what I did through out the day. When I found out I was going to work with Footasylum I was MAAAAD happy. I have been a huge fan of the brand as it is so in keeping with my style. In case you missed the takeover, I’ve done a little over view below!
Our day began with a LOOONG delayed train journey – why is that when I want to be somewhere for a specific time, it just never seems to work that way? I also think it was more annoying because I hadn’t had time to get a coffee and I was now stuck on the train for longer. Me without coffee in the morning is like the earth with out a moon, it just doesn’t work
… that’s EXTRA I know.
Here is a quick pic of me just chillin’ with my luggage, casually ‘looking out the window’.
We hadn’t actually planned to go to any of the main LFW shows so instead we decided to just be in the mix of it all and soak up the atmosphere whilst checking out the fashion trends and what people were wearing! Cool checked prints, houndstooth suits, tartan trousers and plenty of beret’s lined the streets.
Lets discuss what I wore;
I was thankful to have blessed my feet with a pair of trainers to walk from A to B. I felt the perfect trio of comfy, casual and cool, all at the same time. Sounds ideal doesn’t it? The trainers I wore were the all white Nike 95’s. See a close up below;
I am so happy that wide leg joggers are a thing, and a swag thing at that. I literally find them so easy to wear and think you can make them look super chilled and stylish. I paired my Adidas pair with a big logo printed TOMMY Hilfiger tee.
In the afternoon we went to the BFC show space at the Strand – this is a busy hub for fashion enthusiasts and designers.
About two minutes away from pulling up in the uber we heard super loud chanting. Protesters flooded the pavements outside, displaying passionate posters clearly stating they were against real fur.
I was wearing my long FAUX fur coat but did kind of feel on edge walking passed them just in case they thought, ‘HOW DARE SHE’.
After spending some time being mesmerised by the fashion sense of some individuals and getting some good inspo stored up in my head, we decided to head to covent garden. It was COFFEE TIME. YAY.
Around every street corner there were fashionistas snapping pics of their OOTD’s and probably trying to capture that perfect ‘Instagrammable’ shot. I felt right at home and it just seemed so normal to everyone! Some times when Im out and about taking pics of my outfits etc, people look at me like I’m some alien form. HELLO people, this is 2018, people love taking selfie’s and outfit pics these days. Jeez. Lol.
All in all I felt very inspired and fortunate to be in the LFW environment.
Thank you to Footasylum for having me.
